To utilize drain water the company has invested in replacing the root canvas to a concrete drain floor. In this situation some organic and mineral components in the drain water are not suitable for the re use of drain water. The company depends for its irrigation water on the surrounding (brackish) surface water, which is at risk for pollution or water quality fluctuations thus requiring technical solutions for assuring sufficient water.

This image was not in line with the strategy the company strives for, thus consulting Aqua-Terra Nova, for seeking ways to reuse drain water, natural cleaning and add value to the landscape.

AquaScape

To reutilize the drain water it's necessary to go get micro biological stable water and a reduction of salt content. In collaboration with a land scape designer a concept treatment has been designed in which surface water can also be treated.

To select appropriate and sustainable techniques for AquaScape, Aqua-Terra Nova has measured the qualitative and quantitative properties of the drain water. For the further development of the concept the collaboration has found additional funding. During the further development of the project Aqua-Terra Nova will be the responsible party for the all-over process management and guide for the further development and realization.
