We offer bat research in according with the Dutch bat inventarization protocol. The protocol is used by the Ministery of Economics, Agriculture and Innovation to asses permit applications for the Dutch flora and fauna law. For bat research field inspections are needed in both spring and summer/autumn. In general 4 field inspections are carried out. During the period of june 1st to july 15th the field inspections are focussed on identifying bat nurseries and summer residences. During the period of August 15th to October 1st the field inspections are focussed on identifying residences important for courtship and swarming. Bat research demands customized methods. The amount and date of field inspections is highly dependent on the expected bat species.

In the Netherlands, all bat species are strictly protected in the Dutch flora and fauna law. All bat residences are protected year round and it is prohibited to disturb of destroy them, even if the bats are not present during that time.
